In addition to our community volunteer program, Besa has forged partnerships with some of the most notable companies in Columbus to support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Teaming with companies enables us to amplify community-wide impact.

The Corporate Volunteer Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for managing corporate partnerships by fostering authentic relationships and growing associate volunteer engagement across the companies we serve. In this role, you’ll team with corporate leadership to help them elevate CSR programs. You’ll connect thousands of corporate associates to nonprofits doing game-changing work. And you’ll transform giving for corporate partners, nonprofits, and the greater community.

Our ideal candidate will be an energetic and effective communicator, creative problem-solver, and experienced project manager with proven success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee Besa’s corporate impact volunteer program while providing high-touch customer service to Besa’s corporate partners, including senior leadership and volunteers. This includes developing new and exciting volunteer opportunities for corporate engagement, scheduling and posting volunteer projects to Besa’s volunteer platform, leading volunteer experiences, and responding promptly and professionally to corporate volunteer inquiries.
  • Support strategies to increase corporate engagement by building relationships with corporate employee resource groups, assessing the strength of partnerships, providing recommendations for advancing Besa’s CSR program, and implementing creative solutions that grow our impact.
  • Analyze key metrics to inform engagement strategies. Leverage the performance indicators to develop new and creative ways to harness the power of corporate volunteerism.
  • Create powerful storytelling that shares, celebrates, and grows corporate engagement. This includes managing internal and external communications with key stakeholders, creating monthly impact reports for corporate partners, and communicating mission moment opportunities to Besa’s marketing department.
  • Support business-critical operations including Besa supply drives, our annual Be The Good fundraiser, and other duties as assigned with our highly collaborative team.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years professional experience developing and managing projects and events, from inception to execution, with a keen eye to detail.
  • Effective and engaging communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at building new community connections and nurturing relationships, whether with a group of volunteers, corporate executives, or nonprofit leaders.
  • Confident leading meetings with corporate executives and nonprofit leaders.
  • Exhibits professionalism, optimism, and enthusiasm; enjoys working with diverse constituents; and thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Creative problem solver, committed to high-touch customer service, and responsive to partner needs.
  • Proficient using technology, including Basecamp, Airtable, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud, and Microsoft Office.
  • Committed to the mission of Besa and a desire to change the world with us.

Travel Requirements
Because this position will require some local travel, reliable transportation is required, including a valid driver’s license.
